Current Career

I am owner, President and CEO of a company called DBL Multi-Media Group.  We specialize in strategic communications, AV production and special events. My clients have included BP, PepsiCo, Sara Lee, Kraft and Baxter Healthcare, as well as a variety of non-profit organizations like the Chicago Urban League, Rainbow Push and the Executive Leadership Council.

What was your first “real-world” job?

After I graduated from Northwestern University with my MSJ in Journalism, I was fortunate to get an "A" in my final ethics class and a documentary film producer job at WTTW, Channel 11 in Chicago. My NU instructor was the President of WTTW-TV at the time.

Professional Accomplishments

In the early 1980’s I was appointed the first African American Vice President at Burson-Marsteller of Chicago. Throughout my career, I value the life-long relationships I have built through my networking efforts. I have become a successful entrepreneur and job creator.

What Drives Your Professional Career

Confidence, hard work, and the great ability to re-invent myself.
