Tom Hamilton

Tom Hamilton, MBA, is an experienced marketing professional with almost forty years in the business. His experience includes agency account management and general management with Needham, Harper & Steers (now DDB Needham), McCann-Erickson and J. Walter Thompson. Prior to starting his own company, Hamilton Marketing, Tom was president of Norton Associates (now Bozell Worldwide), a 16 million dollar business-to-business foodservice advertising agency with offices in Chicago and Los Angeles.

On the client side, he has held marketing management positions with Alberto-Culver, Miles Laboratories and Golden Bear Restaurants, a 52-unit chain of coffee shops (now Pizza Hut). Other brand experience includes VO5 Hairdressing, VO5 Shampoo, Butter Ball Turkey, Peter Pan Peanut Butter, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Kraft (Foodservice), Orieda (Foodservice), American Dairy Association (Foodservice) and Equal (Foodservice).

Tom earned a BA in History from the University of Iowa and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago. He continues to maintain his marketing consulting practice to keep his skills current and relevant. His specialties are packaged goods marketing and foodservice marketing. He also consults periodically with the College and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
