Dani (Dahlke) Schafer joined Columbia College Chicago in July 2012 as Music Department Assistant, and brings over five years of experience in print- and web-based communications and design in higher education to the Music department.

A 2006 graduate of Lawrence University, Dani is an active painter, photographer and sculptor, and has shown throughout her native Wisconsin. She has continued her art studies at California College of the Arts, Massachusetts College of Art, Edinburgh College of Art and University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In addition to art and design, she also has over 20 years of piano and 15 years of vocal performance experience, and is currently involved in multiple recording projects for independent labels nationwide.
