Program fees cover the following: airfare, ground transportation, shared occupancy lodging for the dates of the course, most meals, required tours, museum and gallery entry fees as needed, and travel within Southeast Asia during the dates of the course.
• Tuition costs and Program Fees will be paid separately.
• The total program fee is subject to change due to normal fluctuations in foreign currency markets. Space is limited. Upon being accepted into the class, students are required to pay their deposit by the deadline to ensure their place in the program. Late deposits will be accepted as long as space is available and time permits. Any late payments must be pre-approved by program staff and faculty.
• Deposits are not refundable after May 1, 2014. See above under “Important Dates” for information regarding payments and refunds. Please note: Approximately $40 will be billed to your Oasis account for temporary health and medical insurance for students traveling abroad.
Credits offered; who is eligible?
Courses are open to all Columbia students who meet the pre-requisites of 22-1111 or comparable experience. Registration can be arranged for students-at-large and students from other institutions. Undergraduates will register for 23-2718, 3 credit hours; Graduate students will register for 3 credits graduate independent study. Students who have not taken the pre-requisite may contact Liz Chilsen, firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss their eligibility for the class.
Once a student has been accepted to the class, the student will be cleared to register and may pay the initial deposit on program fees per the deadlines above. Due to advance booking fees incurred by the program, a $500 cancelation fee will be charged for any cancellations prior to May 1, 2014. After May 1, 2014, a partial refund may be given, but this will be based upon costs actually incurred by the program. Please note that, due to the program’s booking obligations, after (TBD), no refund can be guaranteed for cancellations for any reason.
