Let WCRX be your destination for Election Night coverage.  The WCRX Election Team provides up to the minute election coverage.   From the Governors Mansion to the nation’s Capital, we  bring you the insight and in-depth analysis of races from both local and national perspectives.  Five hours of live continuous coverage on WCRX, 88.1FM. 

Public Affairs

WCRX is committed to serving the public interests and needs by providing news, community service and information programming.  WCRX is an Associate Press Affiliate, giving us an opportunity to keep a pulse on what's going on in the world 24/7.  Our radio station provides 10 newscasts weekdays, during morning and afternoon drive.

WCRX is responsive to our listeners.  Each weekday, the WCRX Job Line provides employment opportunities at 10:30AM, 2:30PM and 5:20PM.  Every Saturday morning, from 7 - 9 am,  we carry a variety of public affairs programming, including the award-winning Latino USA and the student produced interview program, The Process. 

Every 3rd Tuesday, WCRX broadcasts a live one-hour conversation with various Chicago Aldermen.  Ask the Alderman was created to promote direct dialogue with the city's legislators and their constituents.
