Sam Stith currently teaches the Club DJ classes in the Radio Department at Columbia College Chicago. Sam has been a professional dj in the city for many years and students in his class receive hands on instruction from the moment they walk in. In August of 2005, Columbia College sponsored Remix (Magazine's) Remix Hotel Chicago at the Hard Rock Hotel on North Michigan Avenue. Remix Hotel is a three-day technology festival that offers instruction on manufacturers products that are consumed by DJ's, Producers, Engineers and Musicians. Along with the Radio Department Engineering Staff, Sam was instrumental in coordinating Columbia's participation. The synergy resulted in Remix (Magazine) sending the school magazines, every month, to distribute to any student that signs up for the DJ classes. Students are the recipients of magazines throughout their tenure in the Club DJ classes.
