Simmons and Harrison Awarded Dean’s Exit Scholarships
Dean Deborah Holdstein has presented two recent graduates of the Department of Liberal Education, Anita Simmons and Nicole Harrison, with exit scholarships in the amount of $250 each.
Dr. Holdstein applauds the excellent scholarship demonstrated by Simmons and Harrison and hopes that these scholarships send a message of support for their efforts and future plans. “I am pleased to be able to reward the outstanding accomplishments of these two dedicated students who are going on to graduate studies,” she says. Dr. Lisa Brock, Chair of the Department of Humanities, History, and Social Science, seconds this opinion, recalling that Simmons and Harrison were two of the most committed, hardworking students she has ever had. “Both of them overcame significant obstacles to excel in a very competitive field. They are both extremely talented and intelligent young scholars, and we wish them well in their new graduate programs.”
