Many know Ron Norinsky for his 36-year old video equipment rental and post/duplication company, Video Replay, which unfortunately shut its doors summer of 2011. It was then that Norinsky realized that the closing of one door, was the opening of another (so to speak) and was an opportunity for him to focus his energy on other things. Besides consulting on projects and planning large scale events that require live projection, he has also created "The Norinsky Family Production Grant." This grant gives financial assistance to students for video project assignments. Students in P&E II and Television Arts: Directing may apply for grant money to help them with equipment and location rentals, costume prop and set rentals/purchases for class assigned work. In order to apply, students must fill out a grant proposal for and submit a script, detailed budget (including potential vendors), production schedule, and location list to their teacher for review. The Television Department is grateful for this tremendous contribution from Ron and his family, as well as giving back to his Alma mater. Check back to see the names of the deserving students who are awarded this grant.
BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO KAYLA ROSENBURG!!! The first Television student to be awarded and recognized for her piece, "The "Z" Word," a dark comedy set in a post-apocalyptic zombie world, a cure for the zombie-ism is found.
