USA ; AEA.  B.S. in Theater/Speech, Kansas State University. Mary has been on staff and teaching at CCC for thirty years. She has taught Stage Management, Lighting Design, and Introduction to Design for the Stage and Technical Production: Stagecraft (for the Theater Department) and Theatrical Photography (Photography Department). She has produced more than 150 plays and musicals for the department and designed 25 of them.

Mary created her earlier lighting designs (and numerous productions each) for past influential historic and grassroots Chicago theaters: Body Politic, Center Theatre, National Jewish Theatre, Wisdom Bridge, Bailiwick, Irish Repertory Theatre, Live Bait, Pegasus Players, Touchstone Organic, and Apple Tree Theatre. She lit the official state reception for the opening of the State of Illinois Center (James R. Thompson Center), stage managed the Joseph Jefferson Awards for several years and designed various productions for Loyola University Chicago.

Mary's design work also includes multiple productions for American Blues Theater, Northlight Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater as well as for Drury Lane Oakbrook, Goodman Theatre with Teatro Vista and the Chicago Dance Festival. In addition Mary served as lighting designer for both the Joel Hall Dancers and Cerque Rivera Dance Theatre for many years.

As a theater administer, Mary production managed at Wisdom Bridge Theater for six years and was Producing Director of American Blues Theater for two. Mary has sat on several theaters Board of Directors and continues to act as a producing and production consultant for area schools, community theatres and storefront not-for-profits.

Mary served as President of the League of Chicago Theaters for two years after being an officer of the League for four years prior. Currently, she sits on the steering committee of the Michael Merritt Endowment for Excellence in Design and Collaboration, having been a founding member and served as its Chair for eight years.

Mary has produced, designed or stage managed for notable directors, playwrights and actors including Estelle Parsons, John Mahoney, Sheldon Patinkin, Robert Falls, B.J. Jones, Rondi Reed, Gary Sinese, Laurie Metcaff, William Peterson, Frank Galati, Peter Amster, Chuck Smith, Jonathan Wilson, Charles Smith, Rick Cleveland and Jose Rivera.

Mary is the Chair of United Scenic Artist LU 829 Central Region and is a 401 (k) National Trustee for United Scenic Artist.
