Michael Maddux

Before coming to Columbia Michael Maddux was the technical director at the Victory gardens Theater from 1978-1982 and worked as a scenic carpenter on feature films. Michael attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and before moving to Chicago he worked as a stage carpenter in summer stock and regional theaters on the east coast and in the Midwest.

Since arriving at Columbia in 1982 he has been a part of the mounting of more than 150 productions in the theater department and continues to enjoy each new project with the talented student designers at our college.
