Patti Roeder is the Theatre Department's Costume Shop Manager and an instructor in Costume Construction I and Production Techniques: Stagecraft. Patti began sewing in grade school and working in theatre at the community level after graduation from Loyola University of Chicago. She has combined her interest in both aspects to forge a career as both costume designer/stitcher and actor. Patti has designed at Victory Gardens, Apple Tree, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Circle Theatre, Pendulum Theatre Company, Theatre of Western Springs, Village Players and, of course, Columbia College. She was the designer for Anne Carlson's Night Lights for Performing Arts Chicago, a street installation. Her stitching skills have been employed at many Chicago theatres as well as at Creative Presentations for the Celebration Station pizza chain. As an actress, Patti has worked at City Lit Theatre, Eclipse, Next, Circle Theatre, Pegasus Players, Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, Forum Theatre, Theatre of Western Springs and Village Players.
