The Cinema Art + Science Advanced Practicum is a unique educational structure that models above-the-line led collaborative professional practice to yield completed films ready for exhibition and distribution.
The Practicum was started by Department Chair Bruce Sheridan as a single semester partnership between one advanced cinematography course and one advanced producing course. Each cycle involves advanced Cinema Art + Science classes in Screenwriting, Producing, Directing, Cinematography, Location Sound, Production Design, Editing, and Post-Production Audio plus input from Art + Design Department and Arts, Entertainment Media Management Department students, who contribute illustration and wardrobe expertise respectively.

The Fall 2014 Directing Practicum has been filled from a pool of previously qualified applicants. The next round of applications will be available in Fall 2014 for Spring 2015.
