Assessing Student Learning and Development: A Journal for Higher Education

Please note: This is a draft!

The primary purpose of the AALHE E-Journal Assessing Student Learning and Development: A Journal for Higher Education is to disseminate pragmatic and meaningful approaches to examining, documenting, and improving student learning and development in higher education. The journal’s target audience is campus assessment leaders and practitioners who are interested in sharing meaningful assessment strategies that lead to actionable results aimed at the improvement in student learning.

The Journal is particularly interested in articles that explore effective and innovative practices in assessment, as well as those that describe meaningful research in learning and development. Thus topics as broad as general education assessment or as narrow as the effectiveness of a particular tool are welcome, so long as they focus on the improvement of learning.

Since this is an electronic journal, we encourage those who submit articles to use the medium as effectively and appropriately as possible; thus hyperlinks, video streaming or links, and other electronic means of displaying information are more than welcome.
