Dawoud Bey
Dawoud Bey has undertaken numerous residency projects since 1992 working with various museums and cultural institutions to engage young people and to give them a voice within art practice and institutional culture, expanding youth participation in these spaces. Bey is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. He is currently Distinguished College Artist and Associate Professor of Art at Columbia College Chicago, where he has taught since 1998.
