Teaching Artist Journal submission guidelines

The Teaching Artist Journal is a print quarterly (also available online) that serves as a voice, forum and resource for teaching artists and all those working at the intersection of art and learning.  Each issue includes a wide variety of writing about the most innovative and powerful work being done by teaching artists across the US and around the world.  TAJ is a research initiative of the Office of Academic Research, Columbia College Chicago, and is published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis.  More information about TAJ can be found at TAJournal.com.

Submission requirements for the various sections of the Journal are as follows:

Practice, Research, Theory:  Feature articles.
• 4000 words maximum length.
• Work not previously published.
• All feature articles are subject to peer review prior to acceptance.
• Citations and references in MLA or APA style.
• Electronic submission in MS Word format – email to TAJournal@colum.edu.
• Photos, images and figures are encouraged and should be in high resolution jpeg or bitmap format, 300 dpi resolution or greater.

TAJ encourages unconventional and novel approaches to writing about the practice and theory of teaching artistry, including narrative work, photo essays, graphic presentations, and experimental writing.
