Academic Technology Facilities

Academic Technology Facilities manages and maintains three Open Labs, one Computer Classroom, four Lecture Halls, and sixty Smart Classrooms throughout the Columbia College Campus. We provide leadership and support for students, faculty, and staff by promoting and facilitating the creative exploration, implementation and integration of Instructional Technology across the curriculum through the development of innovative, technology-rich learning spaces for students and faculty.

 The mission of Academic Technology Facilities:

To research innovative and emerging technologies and evaluate how these technologies might lead to significant improvements in teaching and learning

To provide students, faculty and departments opportunities to explore and engage with these new technologies

To support creative and innovative applications of instructional technology.

To provide state-of-the-art facilities reflecting best practices in classroom and collaborative environments for faculty and students

To collaborate with faculty, staff, departments, schools, organizations and  other campus partners to address the academic technology needs of the college

To provide encouragement, assistance, training and support to students, faculty and staff in the use of instructional technology across campus
