ABOUT The Smart Classrooms

There are 30 Smart Classrooms and 3 Smart Lecture Hall on Columbia College's campus. These rooms are designed so that instructors can easily operate all of the audio and visual needs for their classes personally, without having a projectionist in the room to control the equipment. If instructors are having problems, there are technical personnel designated to provide more assistance, train faculty on how to use the equipment and repair the equipment if something goes wrong. Please contact your Departmental Assistant to reserve your class in one of these rooms.

Each Smart Room Contains: - Screen - Ceiling-mounted LCD Projector (for computer & video projection) - Wall-mounted stereo speakers - Internet access (for registered laptops) - Smart Podiums	Smart Podiums Are Equipped With: - Media control panel - WINDOWS Laptop (or tower) with Windows XP and Media Player, Microsoft Office, MDID & ARTstor - VHS/DVD/CD Combination Player - Guest laptop and MP3 player audio/visual access
