Eric holds a Ph.D. in administration and higher education from Michigan State University, an M.A. in library science from Atlanta University, and a B.A. in history from Morehouse College. He began his career in higher education as an assistant dean and assistant professor of urban development at Michigan State University. Before coming to Columbia in late 2005, Eric was the vice president for development and university relations at Wilberforce University, where he led a strong development program that successfully raised funds for scholarships and engaged alumni in the fund-raising process.

Eric's professional distinctions include the National Fund Raiser of the Year Award from the Dayton, Ohio, chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives; the Wilberforce University Martin Luther King Junior Award for upholding the principles of the late religious and civil rights leader; and speaking for the International Conference of the Council on International Education Exchange in Berlin, Germany.

Sherron has 15-plus years of experience in financial and administrative work and more than 20 years with faith-based organizations as an associate minister and former youth director. She currently serves on the board of directors with a ministry network in Chicago and is involved in senior leadership at the church she attends in Racine, Wisconsin. Sherron completed her B.A. in arts, entertainment, and media management with a concentration in arts entrepreneurship and small business management from Columbia College Chicago in 2008.
