Hugh C. Williams
Hugh C. Williams is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Painting and Decorating, Inc., a major Chicago-based painting contractor whose primary markets are general contractors, universities, hospitals, and multi-unit residential developments. The company’s major clients include Allstate Insurance, the University of Chicago, the University of Chicago Medical Center, Bulley & Andrews, Clune Construction, Pepper Construction and Turner Construction Companies.
Prior to Continental Painting, Mr. Williams’ experience was primarily in commercial real estate. Mr. Williams was a limited partner with Jones Lang LaSalle, a corporate real estate services firm, where his responsibilities included project management for tenant representation and construction services, representing clients such as A.C. Nielsen, R.R. Donnelley & Sons, and Waste management. His experience also includes providing project management services for a $60 million development in Bellevue, Washington for Wright Runstad & Co. In addition, Mr. Williams served as President of Affordable Housing Preservation Foundation, which owned 1,000 affordable residential units in Chicago.
Mr. Williams is currently on the Board of Directors of the Evanston Community Foundation and formerly sat on the Boards of Providence St. Mel School, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Youth Organizations Umbrella and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Alumni Board. Mr. Williams is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and a former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Williams holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University.
