Important Spring 2012 U-PASS Information:
Only full-time students are eligible for a U-PASS. Full-time status is defined as 12 credit hours or more for undergraduates and 9 credit hours or more for graduate students. If you drop below full-time enrollment during the add/drop period or completely withdraw from classes on or before January 30th you are not eligible for the U-Pass, per the agreement between Columbia College and the CTA. An email will be sent to your Loop email account notifying you of the deactivation. Please be sure you are prepared to cover your public transportation costs or make other transportation arrangements if you drop below full-time enrollment.
Distribution Dates: January 12 & 17 from 9AM to 6PM
U-Pass distribution is scheduled for Thursday, January 12th and Tuesday, January 17th between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the Herman Conaway Center 1104 S. Wabash Ave. Make sure you have a valid Campus Card (Student ID) when you pick up your U-Pass.
- You must be registered for full-time by January 4, 2012 in order to have a pre-printed UPass available for pick up on the two distribution dates. Full-time enrollment is defined as 12 hours or more for Undergrads and 9 hours or more for Graduate students.
- Students who register for full-time after January 4th -- The CTA will only be on campus one day, Thursday, January 12th, to issue UPasses to students who registered for full-time after January 4th. Thursday, January 12th is your only opportunity to receive your UPass before the start of the spring semester. Students who miss this date must request a Late Issue UPass at the Campus Card Office. Late Issue Upasses requested by Wednesday, January 18th will be available at the Campus Card Office on Friday, January 20th. Campus Card office hours are limited during Orientation. Please visit the Contact Us web page for our office hours.
- You can start using your U-Pass Tuesday, January 17th (the first day of classes). Prior to Tuesday, the card will be captured by the CTA farecard reader.
- In the event that your U-Pass is lost, stolen, or defective, visit the U-Pass replacement page for instructions to receive a replacement.
