This workshop will encourage students to free their imaginations while emphasizing the technique and craft of writing poetry. Both student work and the work of significant contemporary poets will serve as the basis for discussion.
Performance Poetry Workshop

This course will broaden the student’s knowledge of poetry’s oral traditions. Through in-class writing assignments and performances of their own and other poets’ works, this course encourages students to understand more fully the relationship between spoken and printed language.
