I Want to Get Involved

Are you a teacher, student, artist, arts and media professional or community organization? Interested in making a difference in the lives of young people throughout the diverse communities of Chicago? The Center for Community Arts Partnerships’ arts-based college readiness program, ArtUP, offers many opportunities for involvement and we welcome your support.

Currently ArtUP is looking for the following:

Columbia College Chicago students who are interested in gaining experience as a teaching artist and would like to work with youth are eligible to apply for a Teaching Artist fellowship position in the ArtUP Summer Intensive Pilot 2009.

Volunteer mentors who are interested in assisting with select ArtUP courses. As a volunteer mentor you’ll help participants through the college selection and application process, help with resume writing, interview skills or career searching. ArtUP is currently seeking a new major sponsor. If you or your company would like to support ArtUP’s important work of exposing Chicago teens to careers in the arts and helping them prepare for college, please contact Mecca Brooks, Associate Director of School Partnerships.
