Beautiful can happen anywhere, but we must make space for it.  The Center for Community Arts Partnerships (CCAP) at Columbia College Chicago makes space for beautiful every day.  At CCAP, we bring the transformative power of the arts to thousands of Chicago’s underserved children and youth.  Through our arts-based programs and initiatives we create models of learning that inspire innovation and creativity.

This becomes increasingly vital as arts programs for children and youth are being cut every day.  We know the arts are essential to a complete education.  Learning in the arts is crucial for a child’s growth and development.   The arts help young people learn to create something new, discover a joy for learning, and think flexibly to see more than one answer to a problem.
