BOOK PROPOSALS FOR WORKS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

We look forward to receiving your proposal. This list is meant to serve as a general guideline for submitting a proposal, which should include the following:

1.  A cover letter that includes the following information:

  • An explanation of the project and its thesis or point of view.
  • The artistic contribution of the project.
  • The intended audience.
  • Your background, experience, and qualifications as a photographer.
  • The approximate size and length of the book, the number of photographs, and textual content.
  • Potential contributors for introductory text and essays.

2.  An artist’s statement

3.  Your curriculum vita

4.  A representative selection of your photography

Please note: books of photography typically require significant financial support, or subvention. We try to work with our photographers to find funding for a project, but it helps tremendously if you have already identified potential sources of funding.
