COLUMBIA COLLEGE, FACULTY ORGANIZATION (CCFO)
Report to the College Council

CCFO has completed the nominations phase for our spring elections; we anticipate elections opening up early next week. It is our intent to have the elections completed and "certified" by the end of this month.

We have participated in meetings dealing with implementation of the Teaching Load Adjustment (TLA) on February 13th (next meeting to be on April 3rd), the Rank Promotion Task Force on February 21st (next meeting to be on March 28th) and to discuss pension and health care issues with the Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer on February 5th. We hope to meet with the Provost and Chair of the Chairs Council in the next month. It is also our hope that the Faculty Convocation be moved from Tuesday, March 27th to a day where more faculty may be able to attend.

Issues that are of continuing concern to us include pension and health care benefits, faculty base salary, salary compression and merit raises, evaluation of faculty and the yet to be developed intellectual property policy of the college.
