Final Cut Pro (5 Week Course)
The 5-Day Final Cut Pro Camp is designed to give beginners solid foundations in editing video content digitally using Final Cut Pro 7. Final Cut Pro is a professional editing software that has been used to edit films like "Cold Mountain," "Intolerable Cruelty," documentary "Spellbound," TV Show "Scrubs" and many more. You will learn the most recent version of the software, released in September '09, Final Cut Pro 7. You will also be introduced to the accompanying applications: Color, Motion and Soundtrack Pro.
Video Editing with Final Cut Pro Workshop Series will be taught by Apple Certified Final Cut Pro instructor.

By signing up for the Final Cut pro Course you are signing up for all 5 3-hour long workshops. Only participants who attend all 5 workshops will earn the CIT Certificate. Part-time faculty who complete all 5 workshops will also receive a stipend in the amount of $200.00. Full-time staff who also teach part-time in Columbia do not qualify for a stipend. If you have received a stipend and certificate for this course previously, you are not eligible to receive a stipend and certificate for this course again.
In order to receive a certificate or stipend, participants will have to pass an exam proving their understanding of the material. The project-based, hands-on exam will be administered by the instructor during the last hour of the last day of the course.
