Final Cut Pro (5 Week Course)

Final Cut Pro Workshop Series is designed to give beginners solid fundations in editing video content digitally using Final Cut Pro 7. Final Cut Pro is a professional editing software that has been used to edit films like "Cold Mountain", "Intolerable Cruelty", documentary "Spellbound", TV Show "Scrubs" and many more. You will learn the basics of the most recent version of the software - Final Cut Pro 6 but also basics of accompanying applications Color, Motion, Compressor, and Soundtrack Pro.

Video Editing with Final Cut Pro Workshop Series will be taught by Apple Certified Final Cut Pro instructor.

logging and transferring tapeless media

insert and overwrite edits
essential keyboard shortcuts
basic editing techniques

insert, replace, superimpose
timeline interface explored in detail

WEEK 4
keyframing

motion tab
video effects

rendering


WEEK 5
overview of apple Color and workflow with final cut
overview of Motion and workflow with final cut
overview of Soundtrack Pro and workflow with final cut
output and compression


By signing up for the Final Cut pro Course you are signining up for all 5 3-hour long workshops. Only participants who attend all 5 workshops will earn the CIT Certificate. Part-time faculty who complete all 5 workshops will also receive a stipend in the amount of $200.00. Full-time staff who also teach part-time in Columbia do not qualify for a stipend.
