Guest lecturer to The Dance Center, taisha paggett, a Los Angeles-based artist whose work bridges the fields of visual art and dance, performs a durational work at the 2014 Whitney Biennial. From April 16–20,
her performance will appear during Museum Hours in the Anne & Joel
Ehrenkranz Gallery, Museum Lobby at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Philadelphia rapper, breakdancer, choreographer, and producer Raphael Xavier recently visited The Dance Center to premiere his newest work The Unofficial Guide to Audience Watching Performance. While he was here, he taught, participated in panels, led workshops, and hosted an MC Battle as part of a festival called B-Real: A Look Inside Urban Movements.
