Entity, Wayne McGregor | Random Dance by Ravi Deepres
Wayne McGregor | Random Dance
March 18, 19 & 20 * 8:00 p.mThe multi award-winning, London-based Wayne McGregor, is one of the world's most inventive choreographers, renowned for his physically testing choreography and ground-breaking collaborations across dance, film, music, visual art, technology and science. Entity, McGregor’s evening-length work is based on months of collaborative research with an international think-tank of 16 individuals working in cognitive science, psychology, neurosciences, linguistics, human-computer interaction and robotics, exploring links between artificial intelligence and choreography. Renowned for fierce and visceral movement, McGregor’s hyper-limber dancers perform against a pounding soundscape by two of the hottest new musical talents working today, Jon Hopkins (Massive Attack, Coldplay) and Joby Talbot (The Divine Comedy). Technically astonishing, emotionally uncompromising and hard-hitting, Entity defies categorization, placing McGregor at the cutting-edge of contemporary culture.
