Open Call For the Columbia Community Music Collective

Musicians wanted! The CCMC is looking for strings, brass, and a bassoonist for the Dec. 6 concert at the Harold Washington Cultural Center. Directed by Stephen Burns, Artistic Director of Fulcrum Point New Music Project, the CCMC is a Community Orchestra focused on performing both classic orchestral repertoire as well as new music and music for film. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7-9, call for more info at 312.369.3100.

Winter Pre-Collegiate Auditions

Are you between the ages of 12 & 18 and interested in pursuing music as a career? Then Sherwood's Pre-Collegiate Certificate Program is for you! Designed to prepare young students for entry into top-tier music schools throughout the country, Sherwood's Pre-Collegiate Program is a multi-year curriculum that includes private lessons, ensembles, musicianship classes, and electives. Auditions for Sherwood's Pre-Collegiate Program are on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2:00pm. Application deadline for January auditions is December 18, 2009.
