Summer Music Programs
Summertime will be here before you know it, and now is the time to start making plans for your summer! Sherwood offers several great summer music programs including the Summer Chamber Music Workshop and the Summer Flute Institute. Meet Our New Faculty
We would like to welcome two new teachers who have joined the Sherwood faculty for the spring term. Antje Gehrken will be teaching voice with a focus on pop and contemporary vocals as well as our new guitar classes, and Rose Sperrazza will be teaching Clarinet. Both teachers have plenty of scheduling availability, so call today to schedule a trial lesson with one of these two fabulous new teachers!
Chicago Amateur Piano Competition
Sherwood, in conjunction with the PianoForte Foundation, will be hosting the first ever Chicago Amateur Piano Competition, June 23 - June 29, 2010. This competition is the first contest in the Midwest honoring the fundamental role amateur pianists have in promoting the piano and its repertoire, and will be attracting the best amateur piano players from around the world. Best of all, the entire event (except for the final concert) is free and open to the public! For more information, visit their website at chicagopianocompetition.org.
