Individual Lessons

Ages 6 and above

Spring Term
Enrollment is for 18 weeks.

Individual lessons enable students to learn technique and repertoire that is best suited to their particular needs, and are an integral part of a musician's education. Lessons are offered Monday through Saturday at times mutually agreed upon by the student and instructor. Sherwood's Program Coordinators will help you decide on lesson length (30, 45, or 60-minute lessons) and will match the best teacher to your needs. We recommend that instruction in wind instruments begin at age 9 or 10, or at the individual teacher's discretion.  Students may begin to study voice at age 13 for girls and 14 for boys; we recommend that younger children who express an interest in singing enroll in either Songbirds or Children's Chorus.

Tuition for Individual Lessons includes all instructional time with the teacher, performing opportunities, and other scheduled activities for Sherwood students. Please contact a Program Coordinator at (312) 369-3100, for more information or to schedule a trial lesson.
