Classes for Teens and Adults
Age 13 and older
Fall Session I
Unless otherwise indicated, all classes are nine weeks in duration.
GROUP PIANO
Group piano is an ideal way to try out the piano and build the foundation for continued individual study in piano or other instruments. Students will learn orientation to the keyboard, beginning music reading skills, and simple melodies and chords. Group piano classes are taught in Sherwood's state-of-the-art keyboard lab. Enrollment is limited to eight students per class.

SING OUT!
Learn proper singing technique from a professional singer! This is a great class for teens and adults who love to sing and want to train their voice in a non-threatening, fun, and supportive environment. We'll cover sound production, breathing, diction, and interpretation and musicianship. No prior singing experience is required!

SHERWOOD COMMUNITY CHORUS (Age 16 and over)
Discover the exciting world of choral music by singing in the Sherwood Community Chorus. We will learn a variety of choral literature, with emphasis on healthy tone production, blend, musicianship, and the importance of ensemble. The Community Chorus will also prepare for performances in teh December Holiday Concert and in the annual Spring Sing. No prior choral experience is required; this will be a fun and relaxed opportunity to experience the joy of singing with others.

SHERWOOD SYMPHONY
The Sherwood Symphony comprises enthusiastic instrumentalists who come together to rehearse and perform a wide range of repertoire, from the Baroque period to contemporary masterpieces. The Symphony will prepare for performances in November and May, with the intervening time devoted to developing orchestral playing skills and sight reading. New orchestra members: please contact Sherwood to arrange a placement audition with conductor Peter Kostov. This is an 18-week class.
