SUMMER CHAMBER MUSIC WORKSHOP
July 6-17, 2009 (Ages 11 to 18) 
Talented and motivated young musicians who play piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, or bassoon are invited to spend two weeks learning and performing chamber music repertoire under the expert guidance of Sherwood Conservatory of Music faculty and guest faculty.  The focus will be on enhancing ensemble playing skills, exposure to a rich variety of chamber music literature, and building musical community in a collaborative learning environment.

SUMMER FLUTE INSTITUTE
July 20-25, 2009 (Ages 8 to 18)
Talented and motivated students are invited to participate in this exciting week of workshops, small group coaching sessions, flute choir rehearsals, and master classes taught by prominent local and national flute instructors.

CHILDREN'S OPERA CAMP
July 27-August 14, 2009 (Ages 8-13)
A hands-on summer camp designed for boys and girls who like to sing, act, design, or perform.  Children will be involved in every aspect of presenting a children's opera, from constructing the scenery, to designing and putting together the costumes, to singing and acting in the final performance.

"KEYS TO STYLE" PIANO WORKSHOP
Dates TBD (Ages 16-adult)
This piano workshop targets talented pianists who already perform at a high level (semi-professional or professional), and who are interested in expanding their musical horizons in solo or small combo piano performance across the many existing musical styles, including classical, jazz, and Latin.  Featuring master classes on style, piano technique and performance, transposition, improvisation in regular and odd-meter, and practicing approaches.  Breakout sessions follow the master classes, and students will have daily public performance opportunities.
