Market Information for Sellers

ShopColumbia Artists!

Though the holidays may seem far away, we actually have two very important seasonal updates for you!

THE MARKET

ShopColumbia invites you to participate in The Market, our 4th annual holiday market featuring three days of amazing opportunities for you to sell your work to holiday shoppers and network with other artists. Every artist participating in The Market will be provided with a three-foot table/booth, which you can brand accordingly to feature your work.  By staffing your table and speaking with shoppers directly, you can tell them the story of your work and increase your holiday sales!

Market Dates:melissa rohr holiday
  • Thursday, December 6th, 4-8pm
    •  Opening "Networking" Reception with DJ and food!
  • Friday, December 7th, 11am-5pm
  • Saturday, December 8th, 11am-5pm


Market Locations:

Hokin Project Gallery, 623 S Wabash Lobby and ShopColumbia


Your success and sales at The Market are greatly affected by your physical presence, which is why participating artists will holiday market picbe required to staff their table Thursday night and all day Friday or Saturday. 

Your table branding is also key.  Make your table stand out from the crowd by giving it a distinct look that displays your work in a clear and creative way.


DEADLINES
RSVP: Thursday, November 1st
Email shop@colum.edu the answers to the following questions:
 
  • Which days you will participate?
  • How much inventory are you bringing in?
  • Do you need props? (e.g., jewelry stands, pedestals, wall space)


Work Drop-Off: Monday, November 26th at 5:00pm
This earlier deadline will give us the necessary time to tag all work.  We will not be able to accept any work after this date for The Market.

We've created a guide to help you maximize your sales this holiday season.  Over $20,000 in sales occurred last year, so don't miss your chance to cash in on the good cheer!
