The Chicago Legacy Award honors those who have made a significant impact in the Chicago community and helped open doors for future generations. Contributions will preserve the legacy of Johnson Publishing's Founder, John H. Johnson, by creating new Open Doors Scholarships for Chicago Public Schools graduates to attend Columbia, preserving the iconic EBONY-JET sign on the Johnson Publishing Building, and establishing the John H. Johnson Museum in his historic office on the 11th floor.
