D2U – Electronic Direct Deposit Refunds
Refund Notification
- If your financial aid awards and/or tuition payments exceed your institutional charges - tuition, fees, housing, etc. - you may expect a refund for the overpayment from Student Financial Services. After a credit balance is created on a tuition account, refunds are usually processed within 3-5 business days. However, there may be delays in processing during peak times due to volume and for refund amounts greater than $10,000 due to additional processing.
When should I expect my refund?
- Refunds for the Fall 2009 Semester will begin on August 27, 2009. Each student account refund is unique and is often dependent on multiple funding sources from third-parties. Once these funds are obtained CCC will issue your refund within 2-3 business days. Please remember to monitor your student account and financial aid missing documents to prevent any delay in your funds. - Refund dollars are disbursed to students and parents through either a paper check OR through electronic direct deposit.
- Student Refunds
- Refund paper checks made payable to the student and are mailed to the "Mailing Address" as indicated in the students OASIS account within 3-5 business days. To avoid delays in the receipt of your check, please be sure to access your OASIS account and verify your current mailing address often.
- PLUS loan refunds paper checks are made payable to the parent and mailed to the address provided on the Plus loan application. In the case of multiple parent borrowers, the refund amount will be divided equally between the parents.
D2U – Electronic Direct Deposit Refunds
- Refund dollars can also be disbursed to students and parents electronically through direct deposit directly to their bank account. D2U is the fastest and most secure way to receive your refund dollars. Refunds issued through D2U will be deposited directly into your bank account within 48 hours. Refund Notification
- When a refund is issued to a student or a parent on a student account, the student will be sent a letter via email to their loop email account stating the date that that refund was issued, the amount of the refund and the semester. The letter will also contain other essential refund information including what you should do in the event you do not receive your refund. You will also find links in the letter that will direct you to money management guidelines and resources if you need assistance in managing your refund dollars until the next semester
