Grants

Introduction

  • A grant is financial aid that does not have to be repaid. Grants, especially federal and state, are for students who have never earned a Bachelor's degree. The amount of the grant is based on financial need, cost of attendance, and enrollment status (full time or part time). Usually, the lower your EFC, the higher the possibility for you to receive a grant.
  • For most grants, you must meet the Standards of Academic Progress set forth by Columbia College Chicago.
