Connie's Pizza Film & Video Scholarship
for continuing undergraduate students
The Connie's Pizza Film & Video Scholarship was established to recognize outstanding Senior level Film & Video students.
The Connie's Pizza Film & Video Scholarship is open to:
- Continuing undergraduate full-time Film & Video majors
- Students currently at Junior status
- Students who have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher
- Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Federal Application For Student Aid (FAFSA)
Award based on:
- Exceptional creative and academic achievement
- Financial need

- Recipients will be notified by the scholarship committee by mail
by March 31, 2013. We regret that we are unable to give information
regarding the committee's decisions over the telephone or by email.
- Students are considered through Film & Video faculty nomination.
A Chicago favorite since 1963, Connie’s Pizza recognizes the importance of originality. By providing a scholarship to support Film & Video students at Columbia, Connie’s Pizza helps our students develop and execute their own original voice and vision.
- Maximum award of this one-year scholarship is $2,500, awarded half in Fall
2013 and half Spring 2014
- The award is applied toward tuition costs
- Students must be enrolled as full-time students at the time of application
and must maintain full-time enrollment during the 2013-14 academic year
- Scholarship may not be used toward independent study abroad programs
- Recipients will be asked to submit a short biography describing their
background and life goals that will be shared with donors; portions of the essay
may also be used for publication
- The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal,
state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
- Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to withhold the award in any
year in which, at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee, suitable
candidates cannot be found among applicants
