The Edward L. and Marsha E. Morris Scholarship application will be available online through your OASIS portal. Only complete scholarship applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed by the scholarship committee.
Please follow all directions carefully. Students must submit the following materials to make a complete Edward L. and Marsha E. Morris Scholarship application - there are two parts to the application:
PART 1: ESSAY
In a two- to three-page essay, please address the following:
- Describe briefly your accomplishments to date in the Television Department.
- Describe the goals you would like to accomplish in the television arts upon graduation from Columbia.
- Where or how do you see yourself making your greatest contribution to the development of the television arts?
Your essay must be double-spaced, and include your name and OASIS ID number in the upper right-hand corner of each page. Please upload your response in .pdf, .doc, or .docx format.
PART 2: STUDENT AID REPORT
A current Student Aid Report (SAR) must be on file. To receive an SAR, students must complete a financial aid application (FAFSA), available after January 1st of each year.

Scholarships tab at the top of the screen. Follow the link
Apply Now for Columbia Scholarships to your Applicant Portal landing page.
There are two ways to locate the Edward L. and Marsha E. Morris Scholarship application:
- Applicant Portal: You may scroll through the list of scholarship programs until you locate the Edward L. and Marsha E. Morris Scholarship, and then select the "Start Application" link.
- Scholarship Search: Select the "Search Scholarships" link in the navigation on the left-hand side of the page. You may search for the Edward L. and Marsha E. Morris Scholarship by using category, keyword, or description/name search. Once you locate the program, select the "More Info" link to be taken to the application form.
