The Kodak Professional Photography Scholarship application is available online through your OASIS portal. Only complete scholarship applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed by the scholarship committee.
Please follow all directions carefully. Students must submit the following materials to make a complete Kodak Professional Photography Scholarship application - there are two parts to the application:
PART 1: PORTFOLIO
You must deliver your portfolio to the Photography Department (600 S Michigan, suite 1200), attention Laura Bauknecht, in a protective container/portfolio case. Your submitted portfolio should consist of the following:
- Cover sheet. Download the cover sheet form HERE. It must be filled out and attached to the front of your container/portfolio case.
- 15-20 images. Work from one or two sustained projects is recommended. A portfolio that demonstrates an ambitious commitment to exploring one subject or idea is an important plus.
- Please submit a consistent set of (matted or unmatted) prints. No slides or digital submissions will be accepted.
- Only one set of work is required, regardless of how many scholarships are being applied for.
PART 2: WORK STATEMENT
Provide a statement describing the work samples you are submitting.
Your statement must be double-spaced and must include your name and OASIS ID number in the upper right-hand corner of each page. Please upload your essay in .pdf, .doc, or .docx format.

Online applications are available through your OASIS portal. Login to your portal and select the
Scholarships tab at the top of the screen. Follow the link
Apply Now for Columbia Scholarships to your Applicant Portal landing page.
There are two ways to locate the Kodak Professional Photography Scholarship application:
- Applicant Portal: You may scroll through the list of scholarship programs until you locate the Kodak Profesional Photography Scholarship, and then select the "Start Application" link.
- Scholarship Search: Select the "Search Scholarships" link in the navigation on the left-hand side of the page. You may search for the Kodak Professional Photography Scholarship by using category, keyword, or description/name search. Once you locate the program, select the "More Info" link to be taken to the application form.
