Warren Lamb Scholarship

The Warren Lamb Scholarship application is available online through your OASIS portal. Only complete scholarship applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed by the scholarship committee.

Please follow all directions carefully. Students must submit the following materials to make a complete Warren Lamb Scholarship application:

Submit a one- to two-page vision statement discussing how you would utilize your Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis (GLCMA) in the professional world.

Your essay must be double-spaced and must include your name and OASIS ID number in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Please upload your response in .pdf, .doc, or .docx format.

Access online application form through OASIS portal: Online applications are available through your OASIS portal. Login to your portal and select the Scholarships tab at the top of the screen. Follow the link Apply Now for Columbia Scholarships to your Applicant Portal landing page.

1. Applicant Portal: You may scroll through the list of scholarship programs until you locate the Warren Lamb Scholarship, and then select the "Start Application" link.


2. Scholarship Search: Select the "Search Scholarships" link in the navigation on the left-hand side of the page. You may search for the Warren Lamb Scholarship by using category, keyword, or description/name search. Once you locate the program, select the "More Info" link to be taken to the application form.

Warren Lamb is the originator with Rudolf Laban, of Movement Pattern Analysis, and developer with Judith Ketsenberg, of the Ketsenberg Movement Profile as well as being an international consultant in the field of business, research, therapy and education. Warren's contributions to the field of Dance/Movement Therapy are unparalleled. He has contributed strongly to a deeper understanding of the decision making process through movement analysis and is currently focusing his research on movement and gender.

• Application must be submitted by August 15, 2012 (11:59 pm) for review by the committee
• Maximum award is $1500
• Students must be enrolled for the Fall 2012 semester
• Students who are not selected to receive the award may compete in subsequent years
• Scholarship may not be used toward independent study abroad programs
• Recipients will be asked to submit a short biography describing their background and life goals that will be shared with donors; portions of the essay may also be used for publication
• The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
• Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to withhold the award in any year in which, at its sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee, suitable candidates cannot be found among applicants
