HAUS, a multi-purpose space located within the Quincy Wong Center for Artistic Expression, functions both as a hangout and study area for students as well as an events space. The room has a small stage and backstage area and was recently renovated to have a nightclub feel. HAUS is best suited for concerts, comedy acts, and readings.
Important Note: The HAUS is an open space for students at all times. We do not block the space off for rehearsals, soundchecks, or private events. Please keep in mind that any activities that are planned in this space may be witnessed by members of the Columbia community and that DEPS will not approve requests to block off the space for privacy.
The room currently has 10 round tables, approximately 40 chairs, two large benches, and 30 bar stools. All tables and chairs can be moved around for event purposes, and it is the responsibility of the event organizers to return all furniture to its original position. No furniture can be added to, or subtracted from the room.
HAUS is subject to the normal building hours of 623 S. Wabash. Please click here for the most up to date building hours.
ALL DEPS spaces must be requested through the Space Scheduler (see our Events Planning Checklist here for details). No space use is approved until an official, personalized confirmation email is sent by the DEPS Events Coordinator, Stephanie Foster.
