Diversity Scholarship

Diversity Award & Diversity Award Scholars
The Columbia College Chicago Diversity Award was established to encourage students to focus on the importance of diversity in higher education as preparation for life in a global society.  Scholarship winners are announced in the Spring of each academic year.  The total amount of the award is $5,000 for one academic year; $2,500 awarded in the fall semester and $2,500 awarded in the spring semester. The Diversity award is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and is applied toward tuition and few expenses only.

Diversity Award Scholars
Students who are selected and accept this award are considered Diversity Scholars through the Office of Multicultural Affairs. As such, Diversity Scholars are encouraged to participate in ways that continue to nurture and maintain the vibrancy of diversity within the Columbia College Chicago community. Our Diversity Scholars form a special community – a community of students dedicated to nourishing diversity at Columbia College Chicago.  As a community, our Diversity Scholars have occasional gatherings and receive a monthly E-newsletter with information about the Diversity Award, cultural hot topics, and events hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
