What is the SAA?
  • Columbia is a place where "it's who you know..."  SAA provides its members with supreme opportunities to meet students, faculty, staff, and alumni.  For history on SAA click here. 
What can the SAA do for me?
  • Being a member of the SAA has many benefits:
    • hone your networking skills meeting students, alums, and tons of other people
    • become part of the alumni online network while you're still a student
    • have access to high-profile events including Up Close Events with the Office of Institutional Advancement and Portfolio Center
    • go to the monthly alumni networking meetings
    • plan events on campus surrounding the idea of creating school spirit, pride and tradition
    • work with other like-minded students who want to make their college years the best years of their lives
    • use your major and your talents to build your resume, portfolio, and/or reel
    • have tons of fun and create life-long memories!
What does the SAA do?
  • the SAA's meets weekly to discuss ways to further their mission, plan events and fundraisers, and go to monthly alumni meetings
  • they create and facilitate Madness Week, a week of spirit-themed events for the college campus
  • work with other college offices on special projects including the Media Production Center Letter Writing Campaign and much more!
  • the SAA current has several on-going projects that you can help with and use your talents
  • the SAA is always open to new ideas for projects and events
