Industry
Events 2012 is a free series of college-wide receptions where the Chicago
creative community is invited on campus to network with our graduating
seniors.
Wildly
successful out the gate and now in its fourth year, Industry Events (formerly Industry Night) has
grown from one night into a series of events over a few weeks.
Industry Events provide a perfect moment for the new professionals leaving
Columbia to share a few work samples and a few minutes with established
professionals in the professions they’ve set their sites on. Please
join us.

Industry Events FAQ
I don't understand why I'm invited to this event. I'm not hiring. As a respected creative industry professional, we invited you to offer your feedback and insight to our students. We strive to give them a real-world experience.
Industry Night is THE event for all creative talent in Chicago. You will find many of your peers here. We like to think of our graduating seniors as part of the industry, not just students. Please welcome them to their new community. Show 'em around a little. After all, you were there once. Remember how that felt?
So, this is not a job fair? No, this is not a job fair. While it might lead to job opportunities,
at its core this is a networking experience.
But I AM hiring. How is Industry Night beneficial for my company? Hey that's great! We can put you in front of a lot of graduating seniors who will be looking for a job. Industry Night allows you to be in the driver's seat. You meet with graduating seniors that might interest you.
I need to fill a job NOW. What other options do I have?
Employers can post all jobs, internships and other career opportunities to ColumbiaWorks, Columbia's online job and internship board, and access other recruiting opportunities at colum.edu/employment.
Of course, you can post career opportunities to ColumbiaWorks AND still attend Industry Events!
Which event should I attend? We did our darndest to group our students based on your industry needs. With that said, however, there is no clear line in the creative sand. Please check here to find our school's creative talent. Click "Industry Events" at the top to see which students will be present at which event. (Coming soon)
May I attend more than one event? Absolutely! It's entirely up to you.
Is there a charge to attend Industry Events? Absolutely NOT! Please come on down. We do ask that you RSVP, if possible, so we can get an idea of how many people will attend.
Is there a way I can see the student talent before (or after) I come down to the event? Funny you should ask...we have an online database of talent, aptly named TALENT POOL. Dive into it.
Additional questions? Don't hesitate to contact us at industrynight@colum.edu or 312.369.7280.
