Student Organizations Council

+ About Us

SOC is comprised of one member of each recognized student organization (SOC representative). The executive board members of SOC include the Chairperson, Community Director and Finance Director. The organization is advised by the Assistant Director of Student Engagement.

SOC is dedicated to building a stronger campus community and providing students with opportunities to grow personally, professionally and artistically.  SOC provides various leadership opportunities and training as well as encourages communication and collaboration amongst student organizations and various departments on campus.

Most importantly, SOC gives students the support and resources to accomplish their organizational goals. SOC meetings are held the Wednesday of each month at 5pm at the Loft (916 S. Wabash, 4th Floor) and are open to all Columbia College students, faculty and staff.
