University Center
Since the Fall of 2004, the University Center (UC) has created a home away from home for approximately 1,700 college students from Columbia College Chicago and nearby DePaul & Roosevelt Universities. The UC has established a one-of-a-kind community in downtown Chicago by combining living, learning and a collegial spirit in a way never done before. Housing options in this state-of-the-art building include 2-bedroom 4-person semi-suites, 1-bedroom 2-person semi-suites and 1-bedroom 1-person semi-suites, as well as two-bedroom quad apartment and four-bedroom quad apartment-style units. 1,000 spaces have been reserved for Columbia students to live together in suites or apartments.
The UC is located in the heart of Columbia College Chicago campus, between Congress and Harrison on South State Street, and includes many features:
