Five hundred, twenty-five thousand, six hundred minutes. How do you measure a year in the life?
A band of talented young artists navigate the answer to this puzzle and more in this Pulitzer Prize winning rock musical based on Puccini's La Boheme. Set in the East Village art scene during the height of the 1980s AIDS epidemic, RENT is a year in the life of Roger, Mark, Maureen, Joanne, Mimi, Tom and Angel -- young musicians, performers, and filmmakers converged at the intersection of idealism and reality. Searching for success, struggling to survive, this inspired and inspiring group of friends form a family-like bond out of tangled relationships, drug addiction, and their shared dreams of love.
