Eun Bin Kim

"I feel like now I have two hometowns: Seoul and Chicago."
Eun Bin Kim, a junior majoring in advertising art direction, hopes to work in the magazine industry--either in the U.S. or in her native South Korea. She was drawn to Columbia by the small class sizes, which she found much more conducive to collaboration than the academic settings she was used to. "Here it's more like an exchange of ideas with my classmates and professors," she says, adding that the interchange inspired her to work harder--and to feel at home in her new country. "Whenever I bring my own culture into my work and show it to my classmates, they find it really interesting. They respect my culture, and I find that we're experiencing our multiple cultures together."
