Project Summary: Closer is a photographic examination of modern industrial workplaces located in the northwest suburbs of Illinois. Through a study of exterior facades, materials, and structural design, using a large-format camera and a head-on perspective that creates a nearly two-dimensional plane, the artist explores what these architectural choices symbolize about the people and environment behind the walls.
