Deadlines
Almost all of our graduate programs function on a non-rolling admission cycle in which all applications are reviewed at one time, once the admissions deadline passes. Applications for Educational Studies are rolling, which means complete applications are reviewed and decisions are made continuously. In both cases, early applications are encouraged.
Applications receive a preliminary review by the Director of Graduate Admissions and, if complete, are sent on to be thoroughly reviewed by the Faculty Admissions Committee for the applicant's program. The Committee then sends their recommendations back to the Graduate Office for a final review. Every effort is made to render decisions 6-8 weeks after the program application deadline. (Applicants to the Educational studies department can expect to receive a decision within eight weeks of submitting a complete application since that department has rolling admissions.)
